English and Social Studies Tutor-Teacher Wanted

We are seeking a part-time English and Social Studies tutor-teacher to join our team at Oxford Learning St. Albert. As an Interactive Coach, you will work directly with students to help them develop their self-confidence and self-esteem.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach up to 3 students at a time at different levels
  • Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
  • Filling in post-lesson notes
  • Completing daily student communication updates
  • Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
  • Teaching certification an asset
  • Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum

We are a Canadian supplemental education provider helping students get better grades since 1984. Our proprietary philosophy and methods make it easy for our tutors to work with students and help them succeed.

This is a part-time position with a salary range of $17 / hour to start. The schedule includes evenings, Monday to Friday, and Saturday availability.
