Job Title: Senior Commercial Architect

We are an entrepreneurial-minded organization that values individual ideas and strategies. We are currently expanding and looking to add a motivated individual to our team based out of our Brampton office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and optimize Power BI dashboards, reports, and scorecards to meet business requirements.
  • Utilize navigation features in Power BI to guide users through a compelling data-driven story.
  • Design, publish, and maintain Power BI data models with multiple interrelated tables that support both visualization and analysis in Excel.
  • Document solutions and work with analysts to flesh out details of user stories.
  • Develop calculations in DAX and work with analysts and product managers to discuss requirements for analytical problems.
  • Integrate existing data sources with Power BI, including Snowflake, Azure, and SQL Server.
  • Efficiently handle large sets of data and process them into required formats.
  • Implement row-level security on data and understand application security layer models in Power BI.
  • Responsible for design methodology and product documentation.
  • Develop tabular and multidimensional models compatible with data warehouse standards.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and 4+ years of industry experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in designing solutions with Power BI.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in capacity planning and optimizing Power BI premium workloads.
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft BI stack, strong data analysis skills, and proficiency in SQL, DAX, and scripting languages like R and Python.
  • Experience developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using ETL/ELT processes, OLAP technologies, data modeling, and SQL.
  • Proficiency in drawing insights from data and clearly communicating information to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Experience configuring and using Tableau or other business intelligence applications to effectively visualize and demonstrate proposed user interface dashboard and scorecard solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of ETL design and development using Integration Services (SSIS).
