Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Night Auditor to join our team at Pomeroy Lodging LP. As a Night Auditor, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of daily financial transactions, maintaining a high level of customer service, and contributing to a positive and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Transactions
    • Balance and reconcile daily financial transactions, including room charges, cash, checks, debit, and credit card payments.
    • Process all credit card batches and ensure accurate and timely payment processing.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, responding promptly and professionally to their needs and concerns.
    • Ensure the front desk, lobby, and guest entrance are clean, organized, and well-maintained to provide a positive first impression.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Efficiently book guest reservations requested by phone, in person, or online.
    • Keep track of arrivals, departures, and in-house daily activities, and organize VIP amenities as needed.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • Previous experience in front desk, night audit, or a related field is an asset.
    • Advanced math and bookkeeping skills are essential.
    • Proficient in English and able to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Tech-savvy and able to learn new systems and software quickly.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Working Conditions

This position will include night shift work, any day of the week or weekend, and occasional day shift or afternoon/evening shifts as needed. The role may require long periods of standing and occasional lifting and bending. The work environment is mostly independent, with brief periods of exposure to cold air due to the location of the front desk.
