Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and caring Personal Support Worker to join our team in the Alliston area. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to our clients, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.
Responsibilities- Provide supportive care to clients in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks to clients.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfer activities.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients.
- Document client information and progress in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in staff development and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Current certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) and Gentle Persuasion Approaches to Dementia Care (GPA) are assets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Willingness to update and keep current knowledge of changing regulations, practices, and procedures.
The Personal Support Worker will work in a fast-paced environment, providing support and care to clients in a variety of settings. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of professionalism.
