Position Overview:

Safe Software is seeking a dedicated FME Form Technical Support Associate (Level 1) to deliver exceptional assistance and enhance our reputation for outstanding customer service. In this role, you will focus on sharing knowledge and expertise with our clientele, moving beyond traditional technical support duties.

Location: This position offers the flexibility to work remotely within Canada (excluding QC) or in a hybrid arrangement in the Vancouver, BC Lower Mainland.

Compensation: The annual base salary ranges from $57,100 to $63,000 CAD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional support to customers, addressing their inquiries and resolving issues effectively.
  • Contribute to the FME Community Q&A Forums and Knowledge Base, sharing insights and solutions.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver impactful product demonstrations and proof-of-concept presentations.
  • Conduct webinars showcasing the powerful capabilities of FME.
  • Engage with Product Managers and customers to enhance the FME Platform based on user feedback.
  • Explore and test new features of FME during beta phases.
  • Represent Safe Software at local trade shows and events, and occasionally at international conferences.

  • Essential Skills: Experience with various data formats (e.g., GIS, CAD, databases, JSON, XML) and familiarity with data challenges such as schema management and validation.
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical information clearly.
  • A customer-centric mindset with empathy for user needs.
  • A curiosity to learn about new technologies and data formats supported by FME.
  • Critical thinking abilities to propose solutions to complex issues.
  • Effective collaboration skills for meaningful feedback exchange.

Preferred Skills:

  • 1-2 years of experience in technical support or technology consulting.
  • Familiarity with FME Form and/or FME Flow.
  • Experience with CAD/BIM datasets and applications (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
  • Knowledge of GIS products (e.g., Esri ArcGIS).
  • Experience with database management (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
  • Familiarity with web services and APIs.
  • Exposure to programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL).
  • Ability to communicate technical content effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in a second language is a plus.
