Your Responsibilities:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will deliver healthcare services to individuals of all ages in their residences and various community settings throughout Nova Scotia.

  • Management of diabetes
  • Support for dialysis patients
  • Oversight of medication administration
  • Palliative care services
  • Phlebotomy procedures
  • Wound care, including advanced therapies for complex wounds
  • And much more

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the relevant province
  • Experience in community health is preferred
  • A valid driver's license and access to a dependable vehicle are required
  • A current satisfactory Criminal Records Check is necessary, along with a Vulnerable Sector Search and/or Child Abuse Registry Check as applicable
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is essential

Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Attention to detail; Ability to lift and carry using proper techniques; Capable of bending, pushing, pulling, gripping, reaching, kneeling, and crouching using sound body mechanics; Proficient in walking, sitting, standing, and climbing stairs; Skilled in hand movements.
