Role Overview: Electrical Estates Supervisor

The Electrical Estates Supervisor is responsible for the operational management of building and engineering services. This role involves directing, managing, and monitoring activities related to the estate to ensure compliance with legal standards and the safety of patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide expert advice and guidance on a variety of estates-related matters.

- Oversee and prioritize engineering maintenance tasks, both planned and reactive, ensuring that services are delivered safely and to high standards.

- Effectively manage competing demands of legislation, health and safety, clinical needs, and budgetary constraints.

- Coordinate planned and unplanned service interruptions, developing contingency plans and ensuring communication with relevant departments.

- Formulate long-term maintenance strategies for the estate, integrating both in-house and contracted labor along with statutory inspections.

- Develop policies and procedures for the effective management of estates operations.

- Manage maintenance contracts to ensure value for money, reviewing performance and authorizing payments upon successful completion of works.

- Oversee the procurement of materials and services to facilitate timely and cost-effective service delivery.

Qualifications and Skills Required
  • Qualified Electrician.
  • Authorized Person for LV Electrical (HTM 06).
  • Authorized Person for Ventilation (HTM 03).
  • Responsible Person for Water (HTM 04).
  • IOSH / NEBOSH certification.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Authorized Person for Medical Gases (HTM 02).
  • Knowledge of COSHH regulations.
