Your Role:

As a Geotechnical Engineering Specialist, you will collaborate closely with the Geotechnical team.

Your primary responsibilities include:
  • Assisting in problem-solving, report drafting and review, as well as proposal and invoice preparation;
  • Conducting geotechnical evaluations using computer-aided design and analysis tools;
  • Writing factual sections of geotechnical reports that summarize site conditions and findings from boreholes and other field data;
  • Formulating recommendations for bearing capacity, slope stability evaluations, pavement design, etc., for senior review;
  • Performing site visits and investigations to assess challenging conditions and support field personnel;
  • Contributing to the training and mentoring of technical staff and junior professionals;
  • Assisting with project timelines and budgets;
  • Promoting and adhering to Englobe's health and safety protocols.
Your Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited institution;
  • At least 5 years of experience in geotechnical and/or geo-materials engineering;
  • Local project experience is an asset;
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in drafting geotechnical reports related to bearing capacity, slope stability, and/or pavement design;
  • Familiarity with gINT, Geostudios (Slope/w), and the Canadian Foundation Engineering Manual;
  • Strong communication skills in English;
  • A commitment to delivering excellent client service and a preference for collaborative work environments;
  • A willingness to develop Project Management skills;
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail;
  • A demonstrated commitment to occupational health and safety.
