Cybersecurity Solutions Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Solutions Specialist to join our team at Geotab Inc. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the security and integrity of our cloud-based solutions.
About the RoleAs a Senior Cybersecurity Solutions Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and automating security processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will work closely with our Cloud Automation Team to adopt DevSecOps methodologies and integrate security practices into our CI/CD pipeline.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a comprehensive understanding of Geotab's security programs and data infrastructure, with a focus on cloud environments.
- Lead and implement security-related projects, ensuring they are executed correctly from a management perspective.
- Design and improve security processes to meet compliance requirements and mitigate risk in cloud deployments.
- Collaborate with internal departments to identify and mitigate security-related risks.
- Conduct internal security analyses, performing risk assessments on proposed changes within Geotab environments, particularly in cloud infrastructures.
- Support Geotab's global strategic initiatives, particularly those related to cloud security and automation.
- Integrate security practices into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure secure code deployment and streamlined security reviews.
- 5-8 years of experience in security evaluation/analysis and/or risk assessments, with a technology-focused industry, featuring cloud security in GCP and AWS.
- Post-secondary diploma/degree specialization in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with security automation tools and frameworks.
- Experience using BigQuery, SQL, and regex is highly valued.
- In-depth knowledge of CI/CD pipeline security best practices and tools.
- Practical experience using advanced security tools and platforms for threat detection, monitoring, and response.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Technical competence using software programs such as Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
