About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fire Protection Systems Installer to join our team at Savvy Fire Protection Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fire suppression systems in various commercial and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and Mount Fire Suppression Systems: Install sprinkler heads and mount prepared pipe in supports, ensuring a safe and efficient system.
  • Pipe Fabrication and Installation: Select, measure, cut, ream, and thread pipe to required specifications, and connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors, and control equipment.
  • System Testing and Maintenance: Test systems for leaks using air or liquid pressure equipment, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Pipe Installation and Support: Install clamps, brackets, and hangers to support piping systems and fire suppression equipment, using hand and power tools.
  • Valve Installation and Repair: Install valves, alarms, and associated equipment, and repair or replace worn components as needed.
  • System Design and Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate system design and installation.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: At heights, confined spaces, wet/damp, and noisy environments.
  • Work Setting: Various locations, commercial, and residential settings.
