Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Highlight Motor Freight Inc.

Job Summary

The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and managing the logistics operations of our company, ensuring smooth and efficient transportation of goods and materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless logistics operations
  • Prepare and submit reports on logistics performance and operations
  • Ensure smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery used in logistics operations
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work of logistics equipment and vehicles
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Recruit and hire staff for logistics operations
  • Train workers in duties and policies related to logistics operations
  • Conduct performance reviews of logistics staff
  • Coordinate, assign, and review work of logistics staff
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies for logistics operations
  • Establish work schedules and procedures for logistics operations
  • Plan, organize, and oversee operational logistics of the organization
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in logistics operations
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Efficient interpersonal skills
  • Client focus and team player
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Initiative and judgement
Work Environment

The Logistics Coordinator will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and heavy loads. The ideal candidate will be able to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
