About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Director, Clean Energy Investments to join our team in Montreal. As a key member of our Canada Growth Fund Investment Management team, you will be responsible for leading the execution and management of investments in the clean energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution and management of investments in clean energy, including solar, wind, hydro, and other renewable energy sources.
  • Develop and implement investment strategies to achieve our clean energy goals, including sourcing and originating deal flow, conducting due diligence, and negotiating transactions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including risk, tax, legal, and HR teams, to ensure that investments are aligned with our overall business strategy.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, including investors, partners, and industry experts.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on clean energy investments and provide guidance to other team members.
  • Contribute to the development of our clean energy investment strategy and provide input on market trends and technological advancements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in clean energy investing, investment banking, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of leading investments in clean energy, including sourcing, executing, and managing deals.
  • Strong understanding of the clean energy market, including market trends, technological advancements, and regulatory landscape.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed investment decisions.
  • Relevant education, including a degree in business, finance, or a related field.
