Job Title: Director of Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations to join our team at Collectif social. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our organization, ensuring that our programs and services are delivered efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Co-ordinate administrative services, including human resources, finance, and procurement
  • Evaluate the operations of a department providing administrative services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed
  • Manage the operations of a department providing several administrative services, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets, ensuring that our financial resources are allocated effectively
  • Conduct research, analyzing data and trends to inform our operational decisions
  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations, ensuring that our programs and services are delivered to the highest standard
  • Direct and advise staff engaged in providing records management, security, finance, purchasing, human resources, or other administrative services
  • Direct and control corporate governance and regulatory compliance procedures within established frameworks
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff, ensuring that our team has the skills and knowledge needed to succeed
  • Interview, hire, and provide training for staff, ensuring that our team is diverse and inclusive
  • Plan, administer, and control budgets for client projects, contracts, equipment, and supplies, ensuring that our financial resources are allocated effectively
  • Prepare reports and briefs for management committees evaluating administrative services, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Manage events, ensuring that our programs and services are delivered to the highest standard
  • Supervise office and volunteer staff, providing guidance and support as needed
Requirements:
  • 11-15 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a non-profit or public sector organization
  • Proven track record of success in managing operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and trends to inform operational decisions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
