Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a primary liaison for Outsource teams, facilitating tool implementation, asset production, performance standards, and troubleshooting within Frostbite and DCC workflows.
  • Collaborate with Outsourcing Partners, Technical Artists, Tools Engineers, and Rendering Engineers to enhance workflows and tools, thereby scaling asset management and production capabilities.
  • Assist teams in integrating work from RAW into Source, establishing necessary testing, processes, or tool enhancements.
  • Identify opportunities for pipeline, workflow, and tool improvements to align with product objectives, enhancing efficiency, quality of life, and usability.
  • Assess performance and budgets of content produced in collaboration with outsourcing partners, addressing issues to ensure content efficiency.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of current industry-standard content workflows, tools, and pipelines.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Technical Artist focusing on Tools and Pipelines.
  • Experience in developing tools and pipelines for at least 1-2 released console/PC titles.
  • Knowledge of architecture for complex tools and pipelines, emphasizing user-friendly workflows for content creators (artists/designers) and scalability.
  • A passion for collaborating with diverse audiences in technology and tool development, including Content Creators, Technical Artists, and Tools and Rendering Software Engineers.
  • Experience with at least one of the following pipelines: Environments, Character, Rigging, Animation, or Asset Management.
  • Understanding of real-time game content requirements to ensure efficiency and high quality.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, C#, or C++.
  • Expertise in various 2D and 3D Art software and workflows, such as Maya, Photoshop, Substance, or Houdini.
