Role Description

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a field-based position responsible for providing medical and scientific information to external and internal customers on the appropriate utilization of LEO Pharma products and general information about their therapeutic area and disease state.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the assigned region, providing credible scientific information about LEO Pharma products, research activities, and product development initiatives.
  2. Collaborate with the commercial team and other cross-functional business partners to build a coordinated approach in KOL engagement across functions.
  3. Provide balanced medical information for healthcare professionals (HCPs) and address scientific questions, including queries on safety and off-label use of LEO Pharma products based on available scientific data.
  4. Contribute regional scientific insights to the Integrated Scientific Affairs Plan (iSAP) and define engagement strategy for each KOL across the product lifecycle.
  5. Develop and maintain up-to-date scientific knowledge and be an expert on LEO Pharma products and therapeutic area with regular review of scientific literature, attending key scientific meetings, and LEO training sessions.
Requirements
  1. Medical Doctorate (MD), PhD, or PharmD preferred.
  2. Minimum Master's degree in life sciences with a focus on immunology and/or healthcare professional background.
  3. Thorough knowledge of the healthcare system, disease management, and clinical research.
  4. Dermatology therapeutic area and market knowledge. Biologics experience considered an asset.
  5. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, including ability to network.
  6. Proven ability to develop and foster peer-to-peer relationships with stakeholders.
  7. Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and work effectively with minimal supervision in a constantly changing environment.
  8. Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
  9. Evening and weekend work will be involved.
