Ideal candidates will have at least two years of experience with troubleshooting and repair on gas/diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, transmission/rear end, basic chassis/brakes, as well as fabrication skills (MIG and Arc welding/cutting). ASE Certification preferred. The sky is the limitAs an AGI Mechanic you will:* Provide prompt response to equipment service requests to troubleshoot and repair: vehicles & belt loaders (unleaded, diesel, and propane engines), lavatory service trucks, air conditioner carts, ground power units, and more.* Perform and track preventative maintenance for each piece of equipment.* Work with station management to help control budget and order parts and supplies.To be an AGI Mechanic you must:* Have Red Seal or Journeyman Certificate* Be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma, GED, or work experience equivalent.* Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.* Be able to pass a drug screen and obtain airport security clearance, which includes an extensive 10-year employment, criminal record, and residence background check.As an AGI Mechanic you must be able to:* Lift up to 70 pounds (32 kg) in confined spaces on a regular basis.* Climb, bend, kneel, crawl and stoop on a frequent basis and for extended periods.* Work outside in all types of weather, around jet and machinery noises.Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
