Would you like to work for a global company that is dedicated to personal career growth? Amico Corporation is a leading manufacturer of Medical Equipment with 9 manufacturing facilities. Our Amico Accessories team is currently looking for a Senior Buyer to join our growing team.

Position Overview

The Senior Buyer will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services. This role will involve supplier quality management, contract negotiation, cost control, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet operational and strategic goals.

Qualifications

- Bilingual in Mandarin is a definite asset

- Must have purchasing experience and be able to read manufacturing drawings

- Formal college or university education

- Demonstrated experience managing suppliers, performance, and developing long-term relationships

- Experience in metal fabrication, surface finishes, and a custom manufacturing environment

- Highly organized, creative, and self-motivated

- Excellent verbal and communication skills

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and execute RFQs/RFPs

- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery objectives

- Collaborate with internal departments such as Production, Engineering, Quality Control, and Finance to align purchasing strategies with operational needs

- Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers

- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or service

- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement continuous improvement initiatives

- Perform daily reviews of purchase requests and the inventory management system, ensuring purchase orders are issued in a timely manner

- Ensure all activities comply with company policies, established purchasing processes, and quality management workflows

- Other duties as required
