Job Title: eDiscovery & Litigation Operations Specialist
Location: Scarborough, ON (Hybrid – 2 days onsite at 888 Birchmount Rd; increasing to 4 days in 2026)
Overview
We are seeking a skilled professional to join the eDiscovery & Litigation Operations Support team, responsible for the identification, collection, and preservation of digital evidence in support of legal, regulatory, and investigative matters. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining forensic integrity while ensuring compliance with global regulatory standards and internal governance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute tasks related to the identification, collection, and preservation of digital evidence for legal and regulatory requests.
- Maintain a consistent and defensible chain of custody using forensic methodologies and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams, legal counsel, and management to resolve technical and operational issues.
- Support enterprise initiatives involving evidence preservation, eDiscovery workflows, and litigation readiness.
- Ensure adherence to eDiscovery and data governance standards across multiple jurisdictions.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of applicable eDiscovery regulations and global evidence-handling requirements.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in security, legal, or project management functions.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in eDiscovery and litigation operations.
- Proficiency with industry-standard eDiscovery and forensic tools (e.g., Relativity, EnCase, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working with cross-functional and executive stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Knowledge of digital forensics methodologies, data governance, and information security frameworks.
- Experience managing compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for electronic data preservation and collection.
- Familiarity with project management and information governance disciplines.
- Professional certifications such as Certified eDiscovery Specialist (CEDS) or equivalent.
