TIS Governance, Risk and Compliance – Co-op Student

As a Technology Information Services (TIS) Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) team member, you will primarily focus on risk management, metrics collections, reporting through dashboards, GRC SharePoint administration, and general support in all areas of the team. You will be expected to work with other members in Cyber as well as with other SMEs and management groups external to Cyber. The goal of this role is to allow the student to have exposure in all aspects of GRC, while helping achieve the objectives, mission, and vision of the team.

Participate in and facilitate conversations with Information Technology, Operational Technology and cybersecurity control owners on the effectiveness of their controls as measured by the cybersecurity control framework. This role is an enterprise-wide team which will allow you to learn about a wide range of technology controls, how they are measured and applied across multiple business units in Canada and the US.

Placement Details

- This is a 15-month opportunity beginning in May 2026 and ending in August of the following year.

- There is 1 position available. Candidates may be required work in around an urban center for team support purposes. These centers are Calgary, AB; Edmonton, AB; Toronto, ON; or Chatham, ON.

What you will do

- Assist in the recording and where necessary, managing of technology risks (with guidance)

- Collection of metrics and relevant information for various TIS management reporting

- Learn about and participate in the design of the metrics to measure the health of cybersecurity and GRC program

- Maintain existing visual PowerBI dashboards and identify/help improve automation of these dashboards

- Assist in the routine review and update of TIS standards, policies, guidelines, and processes

- Assist in setting up the controls and policies in Archer

- Maintain the GRC SharePoint site

- Support GRC on other tasks where needed

Who you are

- You are currently enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program studying IT, MIS, Computer Sciences, or Cybersecurity, and will be returning to full-time school immediately following the work term.

- Thorough computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio)

- Ability to work in a geographically dispersed team environment as well as independently.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality, especially with handling sensitive documents and company information.

- Highly effective interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work with diverse groups and individual personalities are required.

- Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Effective time management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.

- Self-starter. Able to take leadership and initiative.

- High willingness to learn new processes and concepts.

- Knowledge of information security threats and awareness.

- Knowledge of data analytics.

- Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge’s core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect).

Nice to have

- Interest/experience in cybersecurity.

- Interest in IT risk management, technology governance, and internal & regulatory compliance

- Knowledge of industry best practices, policies

- Interest/experience in data analytics and visual data stories.

- Understanding Knowledge of security best practices.
