Located in the “Heart of Alberta,” the Town of Stettler is strategically positioned just 179 km southeast of Edmonton and 101 km east of Red Deer. As a regional hub, Stettler serves a primary trading area of over 11,000 residents, offering a diverse range of services and amenities. The community boasts a comprehensive selection of facilities, including an elementary/junior high school, a composite high school, a public library, twin arenas, an aquatic centre, a performing arts theatre, and more. The surrounding area features several golf courses and is in close proximity to the scenic Buffalo Lake, enhancing the region’s recreational appeal. Stettler Hospital features a 26-bed Medical/Surgical Inpatient Unit, which includes one palliative care suite, two LDRP (Labour, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) suites, and two monitored close observation beds. The facility also houses an 8-bed Emergency Department and offers a robust Surgical and Endoscopy Program. Successful candidates joining the healthcare team will be expected to work across Acute Care, Emergency, and Day Surgery Program. Comprehensive training and support are provided ensuring a smooth transition into the multidisciplinary care environment. As a Service Worker I, you will be responsible for transporting patients (clients/residents) and equipment to and from different patient care areas within a hospital site. You will distribute and replenish hospital supplies throughout the units and clean equipment and patient care areas as directed. You may also transport lab specimens, blood and blood products, and patient charts. You will report any concerns regarding supplies and safety issues to Unit Managers and perform other duties as required. Grade 12 or equivalent. As required. As required.
