Position Overview:

As a Buyer, you will play an instrumental role in ensuring a seamless flow of materials and equipment to support high-performance manufacturing operations. This hands-on opportunity offers the chance to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced steel industry environment, driving operational improvements and maintaining world-class standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage purchasing activities, inventory control, and supply chain functions with a strong focus on steel and industrial filtration products.
- Safeguard a consistent supply of necessary materials, promptly addressing supply issues that could affect production schedules.
- Negotiate pricing and schedules with vendors; proactively follow up to guarantee timely delivery of orders.
- Collaborate daily with Production Management and Engineering teams to clarify specifications and resolve delivery or material concerns.
- Serve as a liaison between departments to confirm order details, specification requirements, and delivery schedules.
- Partner with Quality and Vendor teams to resolve non-conformance issues and coordinate vendor returns.
- Execute procurement of products and materials, supporting both ongoing needs and special projects.
- Ensure vendor compliance with agreed contracts, terms, lead times, and cost benchmarks.
- Prepare regular reporting, including monthly performance analyses and process improvement documentation.
- Utilize procurement software and ERP systems to manage purchases efficiently.
- Review and approve departmental requisitions and secure goods/services as required.
- Monitor, assess, and report on maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) inventory and vendor performance.
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders through effective communication and service excellence.
- Lead and support continuous process improvement initiatives tied to MRO sourcing and purchasing.
- Uphold compliance with established industry regulations (e.g., ASME Section VIII) and company practices.
