Responsibilities

Position Description Summary

Reporting to the Lead Hand the successful candidate will be responsible for the shipping and receiving within the warehouse.

Principal Accountabilities

- Processing customer orders – including picking, packing and inspecting shipments.

- Responsible for adherence to corporate departmental policies, procedures and standards.

- Daily communication with transportation companies and customer

- Receiving

- Repetitive lifting of heavy items

- Health and Safety compliance in accordance with company policies.

- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all shipments and receipts.

- Daily warehouse housekeeping

- Participating in inventory control and cycle counting

- Liaising with other departments to address delivery and receipt enquires.

- Becoming an effective team member by participating in process improvement initiatives.

- Performing other general administrative / warehouse duties and tasks as assigned.

- Trained and certified forklift, with a proven safe track record.

- Must be able to continuously lift heavy items.

- Excellent accuracy and organization skills complemented by the ability to multi-task and prioritize.

- Work effectively as a team player.

- Excellent knowledge of overall warehousing process.
