We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team in Mississauga, Ontario. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations and analysis within a dynamic corporate environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in financial processes and reporting, as well as experience working with large datasets and virtual teams.Responsibilities:- Prepare and analyze financial reports to support decision-making and strategic planning.- Handle month-end closing activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.- Perform detailed billing and accounting tasks with accuracy and efficiency.- Manage large data sets in Excel, utilizing advanced functions to extract meaningful insights.- Collaborate with virtual teams to ensure seamless communication and workflow.- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.- Ensure compliance with corporate accounting standards and procedures.- Support audits and provide documentation for internal and external review.- Utilize SAP for financial reporting and data management.- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency in financial operations.- Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis, billing, and accounting functions.- Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced data mining techniques.- Enrolment in or pursuit of an accounting designation (e.g., CPA).- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.- Experience with SAP and familiarity with month-end close activities.- Background in medium to large corporate organizations is preferred.- Previous experience working with virtual teams is considered an asset.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
