We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our client’s team in Taber, as a Temporary Bookkeeper. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and generating financial reports.

Compensation & Hours

- The rate of pay will be $24/hr.
- This is a full-time, temporary position.
- Monday – Friday, 8am – 4:30pm.
- This position is in Taber; candidates would have to live in the area or have a reliable vehicle to commute every day.

Position Summary

- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Reconciling bank statements and ensuring accuracy of financial data.
- Preparing financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assisting with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Communicating with clients/vendors to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Required Qualifications

- Proven bookkeeping experience of at least 3 years.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
- Reliable vehicle and Class 5 driver’s license.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
- Sharp eye for detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Bonus Points For

- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
