Job Description

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Journeyman Electrician is responsible for the effective functioning of the electrical systems, including installations, for the Calgary Plant.

Key Accountabilities

- Accountable for the effective functioning of the electrical systems in the plant and for the installation of new equipment.

- Accountable to adhere to and utilize company policies, procedures and HACCP regulations.

- Accountable to ensure a safe work environment for coworkers, customers, and visitors.

Skills, Abilities and Qualifications

- Must have a valid Provincial Electrical Journeyman Certificate and/or Instrumentation Technician or a recognized Interprovincial Red Seal.

- Strong PLC experience and programming capabilities.

- Experience in robotics an asset but not essential.

- Strong Analytical troubleshooting skills.

- Minimum two years of experience performing repairs in a manufacturing environment.

- Mechanical, electrical and refrigeration systems knowledge, and an ability to use power and manual tools. Commercial industrial construction experience is an asset.

- Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.

Mental Stress

There is some modest pressure from deadlines or other productivity standards. Work is somewhat repetitious.
