McCord Co-op is hiring a Mechanic to work onsite at our location in McCord, SK.

We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanic to join our team You will maintain, repair, and modify agriculture and farming equipment, light vehicles, and other equipment at our shop.

What you’ll do:

- Perform preventative maintenance inspections on trucks, trailers, and agriculture/farming equipment.
- Diagnose issues using mechanical, electrical, and computerized testing equipment; Determine repair methods and estimate costs/time.
- Repair mechanical, fuel, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems by replacing, fabricating, or revising parts and components.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as fluid/filter changes, or replacing brakes, exhaust systems, and hydraulic hoses, etc.
- Develop/modify new and existing equipment or systems as needed.
- Keep the service area and tools clean and in proper working condition.
- Report unresolved issues to the Manager.
- Other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Trades and Maintenance and have:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a mechanic.
- Experience in heavy equipment mechanics is an asset.
- A/C experience is an asset.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A willingness to support field staff and work overtime as needed.
