Seeking Full-Time, Permanent Skilled Carpenter

We are seeking a Skilled Carpenter to join our team and contribute to the successful completion of residential renovation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for working on high-quality, residential spaces. In this role, you will help turn our clients’ dreams into reality by building, installing, and finishing all aspects of carpentry in residential renovation projects.

As a Skilled Carpenter, you'll play a key role in bringing our clients’ visions to life by executing high-quality carpentry work on a variety of residential renovation projects. Key Responsibilities

- Carpentry Work: Perform all carpentry duties involved in a residential renovation from start to finish, including framing, installation of windows and doors, trim work, cabinetry, drywall, painting, flooring, tiling, light electrical & plumbing for residential renovations.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret and follow blueprints, designs, and specifications to complete tasks with precision and accuracy.
- Material Handling: Source, cut, and install materials (e.g., wood, drywall, insulation, paneling) with high attention to detail and quality.
- Project Collaboration: Work closely with the project manager, site supervisor, and other tradespeople to ensure that all work is completed according to the project schedule and client specifications.
- Quality Craftsmanship: Ensure the highest standards of carpentry work are maintained throughout the renovation process. Review and address any potential issues before the final inspection.
- Customer Interaction: Occasionally interact with clients on-site, answering questions and ensuring they feel heard, cared for, and satisfied with the progress of the work.
- Site Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all safety protocols and guidelines are followed to prevent accidents or injuries.

Qualifications

Experience:

- Minimum 3 years of carpentry experience, ideally in residential renovations or custom homebuilding.
- Proficiency in all aspects of a renovation from start to finish, including, framing, finishing, exteriors, decks, and custom carpentry work. Experience with drywall, trim, painting, and cabinetry, and more is an asset.

Skills:

- Strong carpentry skills and an eye for detail.
- Knowledge of tools, materials, and techniques commonly used in residential renovations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

Safety & Compliance:

- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Willingness to follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment for yourself and your team.

Communication:

- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and occasionally clients.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changes or unexpected challenges on the job site.

Physical Stamina:

- Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions.

Personal Attributes:

- Strong attention to detail and high-quality craftsmanship.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and professionalism.
- A valid driver’s license.
