MOBIA is currently seeking an End-User Device (EUD) Installation Technician to join our team across Newfoundland. This is a full-time, term position until October 2025. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive on-site surveys at customer facilities, ensure proper network connectivity for all devices, and support hardware installation and configuration. The ideal candidate will have experience in hardware setup, strong problem-solving skills, keen attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. This position will require frequent travel throughout Newfoundland.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough on-site surveys at customer facilities, collecting information on the existing network (wired & wireless), AC Power, cable pathways and data closets.
- Install, configure, and upgrade hardware and software on end-user devices.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting, addressing hardware, software, and network issues.
- Test network cables and compile test result reports.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, and support activities using ticketing systems or asset management software.
- Ensure all devices are correctly connected to the network and assist with basic network configuration where necessary.
- This position will require frequent travel throughout Newfoundland.

Skills/Qualifications:

- Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent certification in IT, Computer Science, or related field would be advantageous.
- Previous experience in a similar role involving hardware setup and end-user support.
- Previous experience in a similar role involving installation & testing of networks (wired & wireless).
- Proficiency in installing and configuring hardware and software.
- Familiarity with network setup, including Wi-Fi and wired networks.
- Basic understanding of IT security practices.
- Certifications: CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional, or similar certifications are advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical details to non-technical staff.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (for moving equipment).
- Regular mobility to various office locations to perform installations or repairs.
