Samaritan’s Purse is a Christian international relief organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan’s Purse has helped meet the needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God’s love through His Son, Jesus Christ.

As the Donor Services Manager, you will play a critical role in stewarding the generous support of our donors. You will be responsible for training, equipping, and overseeing the teams who are dedicated to providing exceptional service, building lasting relationships with donors and processing donations with care. This is a unique opportunity to combine your leadership skills with your faith to make a tangible difference in the lives of others. As an integral member of the Donor Ministries department, this role will help SPC carry out its mission and objectives through participation in the daily prayer ministry.

The successful candidate will fulfill a full‑time permanent position in the Calgary head office. This position includes benefits of life insurance, medical/dental and short‑term/long‑term disability, RRSP contributions after one year of employment, and 15 vacation days per year to start.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Oversees the Donor Services Team (DST) which is comprised of the Donor Ministry Supervisor, the Donor Ministry Representativies, the Phone Contact Team, the Data Processing Team.
- Ensures the DST is well‑trained to provide excellent customer service through effective communication and resource management, including developing training materials and conducting training sessions.
- Oversees and reports on donor relations/satisfaction, donation processing/receipting and the performance of the DST.
- Ensures the DST complies with the Canada Revenue Agency and is timely and efficient in donation processing and reporting through the analysis and investigation of donor inquires, responses, call volumes etc.
- Ensures adherence to anti‑terrorism procedures related to donations and collaborates on secure handling of funds and donor information.
- Fosters a supportive team culture centered on prayer, motivation, and celebration.
- Liaises with the Finance Department to ensure regular daily, monthly, and yearly transaction closures are efficiently and accurately completed.
- Collaborates and liaises with management, marketing team and other departments to plan and implement strategies, identify opportunities to enhance donor and volunteer experiences and to ensure accurate and current information are communicated about programs/projects, service details, timelines etc.
- Works with other departments to ensure procedures for outside fundraising, capture and security of donor data and secure delivery of funds to the DS team are followed.
- Coordinates and, when necessary, completes donor communication in response to inquiries and concerns that are highlighted.
- Assists in database clean up and maintenance as necessary.
- Post‑secondary education in a related field and/or experience in office administration.
- 5+ years of supervisory or management experience.
- Front‑line customer service experience.
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel) and databases.
- Keyboarding and/or data entry experience.
- Understanding of general financial principles.
- Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and present information professionally, orally, written or technically, with clarity and accuracy.
- Exemplary interpersonal skills, able to work with a culturally diverse group both internally and externally.
- Flexible, adaptable and works well with a team.
- Proficiency in French is considered an asset
