The Sarnia manufacturing facility is the headquarters for ARLANXEO Canada Inc. with a Global Research & Development Centre for Butyl Rubber found in London, Ontario. Focused on the production of synthetic rubber, the Sarnia facility is a major supplier to both domestic and international markets and employs over 300 employees. Responsibilities - Repair and overhaul pumps, compressors, turbines, extruders and other mechanical equipments as specified standards recommended by the equipment manuals - Perform maintenance tasks involving hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components - Consult manuals and drawings to extract relevant machine specifications and work procedures - Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on a variety of machinery and equipment - Working knowledge of breakdown, preventive, predictive and proactive maintenance programs, vibration analysis, machinery balancing and alignment techniques - Work accurately with numbers, particularly when fitting bearings and aligning gears or shafts to operate and interpret readings from electronic measuring devices - Work independently and with others to solve mechanical and technical problems - Set up and operation of welding, brazing and soldering equipment - Remove and install machinery onto bases and within piping systems - Document repairs and prepare maintenance reports Experience - Certified Industrial Mechanic Millwright with a valid C of Q 433A, eligible to work in the province of Ontario - Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in an industrial, preferably petro‑chemical environment - C of Q 426A Construction Millwright with relevant experience may also be considered Education - Completion of OSSD - Completion of apprenticeship courses to meet requirements of C of Q Millwright certification ARLANXEO Canada Inc. welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
