Vancouver, Canada Randstad Canada Full time

Are you an exceptionally detail-oriented R&D Operations Analyst or Business Analyst with a passion for transforming complex systems into seamless, functional processes? A leading global brand in the performance apparel industry is seeking a skilled professional to join its innovative lululemon labs team as a Temporary R&D Operations Analyst. This is a critical 4-month contract designed to bring clarity and structure to the team's operational processes, data tracking, and reporting infrastructure. This opportunity is an ideal fit for a systems thinker who enjoys deep-dive discovery, process mapping, and rolling up their sleeves to troubleshoot complex data flows and reporting tools. In this pivotal R&D Operations Analyst role, you will be the driving force behind the development and stabilization of essential tracking and reporting systems. The work is project-based, with specific, high-impact objectives focused on understanding the existing landscape, getting current systems functional, and then proposing significant improvements. You will work within the Randstad Professional specialization, focusing on business administration excellence to support innovation. The core requirement is a service mindset and a dedication to process integrity, ensuring that the team's Return on Investment (ROI) and testing data are accurately and easily understood by various stakeholders. If you thrive on fixing "crappy data," building robust systems, and seeing the big-picture impact of operational efficiency, this is your chance to make a lasting impact with a world-renowned brand. This R&D Operations Analyst position, located in Vancouver, BC, operates on a hybrid schedule (4 days in office, 1 day remote). While the primary language for communication and duty completion is English, a commitment to clear and effective communication with a diverse team is essential. Advantages - Opportunity to work with a globally recognized, innovative apparel brand in their R&D lab setting. - Competitive pay rate of $35-$37 per hour for high-value operational expertise. - Hybrid work environment (4 days on-site in Vancouver, BC / 1 day remote) offering flexibility. - A defined 4-month project-based contract with clear objectives and the potential for extension based on project success. - Direct guidance and support from the hiring manager to ensure a smooth transition and necessary training. - Be part of a team that values a not-ego-based atmosphere and thoughtful problem-solving. - Access to the expertise and career support of a global leader in business administration and professional talent solutions. Responsibilities - Conduct in-depth discovery and process mapping sessions with key stakeholders to thoroughly understand current pain points and systems data flows. - Translate complex process inputs into well thought-out visual solutions, including mockups with fake data where necessary, to facilitate understanding. - Design, create, and implement robust tracking and reporting systems, including automated dashboards utilizing tools like Smartsheet and PowerBI. - Ensure clear understanding and reporting of team ROI and testing outcomes to various levels of internal stakeholders. - Develop and maintain comprehensive supporting process documentation and user-friendly "how-to" guides for the team. - Act as a Project Manager for the team's special operational projects, creating and deploying supporting project management tools. - Review, improve, and organize the team's file storage management system to ensure detailed testing reports are easily accessible alongside reported ROI data. - Provide essential business administration and systems support to help the team overcome current operational bottlenecks. Qualifications To be considered for this R&D Operations Analyst role, candidates must meet the following minimum criteria. - Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or a related field. - Demonstrated professional experience in Business Analysis, Process Mapping, Data Visualization, and/or Project Management. - Proven expertise in following and troubleshooting complex systems data flows and creating automated, functional dashboards. - Experience or strong aptitude for managing and improving file storage and document management systems. - Knowledge of kinesiology and/or the apparel industry is a valuable asset, but the skillset is paramount. The ideal R&D Operations Analyst possesses a unique blend of analytical, technical, and interpersonal skills. - Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for solving complex systems and data flow challenges. - Expert-level fluency in tracking, reporting, and data visualization tools such as Smartsheet, PowerBI, and Excel (creating complex sheets/systems). - Proven experience in Business Analysis, Process Mapping, and Requirements Gathering. - Strong ability to take complex processes and create solutions that are robust, seamless, and user-friendly for data entry and output understanding. - A service mindset with a focus on accountability, autonomy, and an eagerness to learn complex, unfamiliar fields of knowledge. - Demonstrated ability to listen intently to stakeholder needs, learn rapidly, and translate findings into effective, working solutions. - Capacity for both strategic big-picture thinking about process possibilities and performing the necessary "grunt work" of data cleanup and system implementation.
