Duties
The Manager, Program Delivery, Northwest Region leads a dynamic team of officers who are responsible for supporting economic development opportunities in the Northwestern Ontario region which lies west and north of Greenstone and area. The team’s key responsibilities are: managing stakeholder relationships with community / regional stakeholders, playing a significant and proactive role in the major developments affecting this region; assessing applications to FedNor and assisting clients towards successful completion of their economic development projects; and providing pathfinding assistance to clients by identifying other potential government support that is available.

Intent of the process
The intent of this process is to immediately fill one (1) position in the Thunder Bay area with a bilingual imperative BBB/BBB second language profile.

Education:

- Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in a field relevant to the duties of the position or acceptable combination of education, training, and experience.

Experience:

- Experience in managing economic development projects and/or programs.

- Experience in developing and providing strategic advice on complex matters.

- Experience in building and nurturing effective and collaborative networks and relationships with various stakeholders (federal and provincial officials, private and/or public stakeholders).

- Experience in managing human and financial resources.

- Experience in regional economic development.

Asset Education:

- A recognized professional accounting designation (CPA) and/or relevant certification with AFOA Canada (Certified Aboriginal Financial Manager, Certified Aboriginal Professional Administrator).

Asset Qualifications:

- Experience working with Indigenous communities and/or organizations.

- Knowledge of government priorities and their potential impact on Northern Ontario.
