Overview

Being a Credit Analyst on the Equipment Financing team at National Bank means serving as a key expert in credit evaluation. This role focuses on financial analysis, risk management, and loan structuring to support Canadian businesses with tailored financing solutions.

This position is within the Small Ticket Credit team at Equipment Financing and is suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong analytical skills, and makes sound decisions in a timely manner.

Your role

- Analyze credit applications and recommend appropriate financing structures
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers and Risk Management to support sound credit decisions
- Approve credit requests within delegated limits and prepare recommendations for complex cases
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to portfolio assessments to identify risks and propose mitigation strategies

Your Team

Within the Equipment Finance sector, you’ll be part of a large team and report to the Credit Manager. The team emphasizes deep expertise, collaboration, and client success, with flexibility including a hybrid work environment and adaptable schedules.

Prerequisites

- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in finance, commerce, or a related field, or 1–3 years of experience in financial services, risk management, or commercial lending
- Strong skills in financial statement analysis and credit evaluation
- Knowledge of collateral requirements and credit documentation
- French fluency is an asset
