ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THIS ROLE INCLUDE:
- In a management role, responsible for the supervision, guidance, and development of clinical pharmacists to ensure achievement of departmental objectives and standards for service, efficiency, and quality.
- Lead the development of pharmacy benefit management plan design alternatives and product/process enhancements.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders – pharmacy and the pharmaceutical industry – regarding new products and the adoption of new policies or practices.
- Provide expertise to clients, providers, and suppliers related to pharmacy benefit management.
- Contribute to benefit utilization analyses and prepare position papers and reports.
- Assist in developing internal and external communications regarding GS pharmacy benefit management strategy.
- Represent GS in industry peer groups, external presentations, and conferences to reinforce GS’s position as a pharmacy benefit management specialist.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES INCLUDE:
- Management experience with healthcare professionals is required.
- Experience in clinical pharmacy settings.
- Experience in pharmacy benefit management.
- Must be a licensed, registered Pharmacist in good standing within Canada.
- Strong knowledge of the regulatory and competitive environment for prescription drugs and pharmacy benefits; ability to anticipate key trends.
- Excellent analytical, listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, overcome confusion, and simplify complex situations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- A keen customer focus.
- Bilingual communication skills in English and French are considered an asset.
