Job Summary

Responsible for the safe maintenance, repair, installation, and modification of all warehouse equipment. The main objective is to ensure maximum uptime of machinery and equipment. It is an asset to have knowledge of electrical code and drawings.

Working Conditions

- This is a stable position in a shop environment within a fully automated facility.
- This job requires working in a refrigerated and freezer environment.
- Overtime may be required on occasion.
- You are required to work in a rotating shift environment.

Job Duties

- Assist in the install, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of mechanical systems including large industrial refrigeration systems.
- Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices, and equipment.
- Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair proprietary automation and robotic equipment.
- Maintain and operate industrial power generation equipment.
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications and schematics to effectively troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance through inspection of electrical systems, equipment, and components.
- Direct and train other workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment or fixtures including automation and robotic equipment.
- Install or rework data, communication, and security and life safety systems.
- Adhere to Preventative Maintenance Plan schedule.
- Work on other electrical projects as required.

Qualifications

- Electrician certification (309A or 442A).
- Understanding of AC and DC frequency drives is an asset.
- Working knowledge of PLCs (Allen Bradley) is an asset.
- Working knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Code.
- Two to five years’ experience in the electrical field.
- Refrigeration experience is an asset.
- Be willing to travel to other CCS facilities as required.
- Have a working knowledge of data/communications, security wiring and systems.
