The Fragrance Shop - Part Time Assistant Manager (24 hours)

Job Description

Established in 1994, The Fragrance Shop (TFS) is known for its passionate and innovative nature within the fragrance industry and we are the largest, independent fragrance retailer. Our aim is to create mainstream and luxury fragrance, which is affordable and accessible for all, in over 200 stores nationwide and online. The Fragrance Shop are now on the lookout for a passionate, ambitious and experienced Assistant Manager to join the team and support with the day-to-day store management at our store in Bluewater (24 hours).

To manage a store to achieve the Company objectives by providing excellent customer service to maximise sales and establish efficient methods of operation to maximise profitability. The role will include leading customer service focus by playing a hands‑on role.

Role Overview

Responsible for helping the Store Manager manage the store by providing excellent customer service whilst ensuring sales are maximised at every opportunity and establishing efficient methods of operation. This position is hands‑on and will play a pivotal part in staff training and development.

Responsibilities

- Help to manage a team of consultants by training, coaching, delegating and empowering them to provide excellent customer service

- Take a lead role in resolving customer questions and queries

- Follow guidelines to ensure that all products are presented/displayed to their best advantage

- Ensure that all products are correctly coded, priced and accurate POS is used

- Actively promote the company and role in the local marketplace

- Continue to develop self and role by studying relevant training materials and store information

Essential

Educated to GCSE level or equivalent,

Experience and Skills

- Experience in a supervisory/managerial capacity

- Leadership skills

- Communication skills

- Interpersonal skills

- Organisation skills

- Self‑motivated

- Commercial awareness

Desirable

- Business related qualification

- Previous retail experience as a Store Manager

- Visual merchandising knowledge
