We’re currently seeking Prep Cooks to join our team This position is part of a shared kitchen team supporting both The Dusty Boot and The Balkan Restaurant. While The Dusty Boot is the primary venue, all kitchen operations take place at The Balkan.

The Dusty Boot Saloon & Dance Hall — the home of fancy cocktails, cold beer, western grub, and live music. A dressed-up saloon in a dressed-down cocktail lounge, featuring weathered wood, warm leather, the glow of neon, and the sweet sound of boots on the dance floor. Enjoy bar games, cowboy karaoke, billiards, and a chef-driven menu. Saddle up and settle in — must be whisky-drinking age (18+).

The Balkan Fresh Mediterranean in the heart of Banff. From fresh pita wraps to mouthwatering souvlaki & plenty of vegetarian options, prepare your taste buds for fun & flavourful Mediterranean dishes paired perfectly with vibrant cocktails and fruity spirit-free drinks. Our Prep Cooks are the backbone of the kitchen, ensuring everything is ready for service. You’ll chop, measure, and prepare ingredients with care, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and support the Chefs to keep the kitchen running smoothly.

What You'll do:

- Preparing ingredients, ensuring standards are being met
- Work closely with the Chefs and kitchen team members to ensure a seamless service
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization
- Assist with training new team members as required

What You Have:

- Excellent work ethic and communication skills
- 1-2 years of experience working in a kitchen (asset)
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule required
