Position Overview

As part of General Fusion’s Investor Relations team, the Investor Relations Analyst will play a critical role in supporting capital raising, transaction execution, and strategic analysis that underpin the company’s growth and engagement with investors. This position requires strong financial modeling skills, the ability to develop clear and compelling presentations, and the organizational discipline to manage processes across multiple stakeholders.

The Investor Relations Analyst will work closely with the Head of Investor Relations and collaborate with senior leaders across the organization. Success in this role will require intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex information in a concise and professional manner. This is a high-visibility position that provides exposure to investors, executives, and strategic initiatives while contributing to the advancement of General Fusion’s mission. The successful candidate will demonstrate advanced financial acumen, a polished professional presence, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

- Financial Modeling & Analysis
Develop and maintain financial models and analyses to support capital raising, partnerships, and corporate strategy, including valuations, forecasts, and scenario planning.
- Transaction Support
Contribute to financing and strategic transactions by coordinating due diligence, supporting documentation, and collaborating with external advisors, investors, and senior leadership.
- Presentations & Communication
Prepare high-quality presentations and materials for investors, the board, and partners, translating complex data into clear and compelling insights.
- Strategic Insight
Conduct industry research and benchmarking, providing analysis and recommendations to inform corporate strategy and operational decision-making.
- Additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Engineering, or a related field; master’s degree or CFA designation considered an asset.
- Minimum 5 years of experience. (Min 2 yrs in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or top-tier consulting preferred.)
- Strong financial modeling skills in Excel, with experience in valuation, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
- Proficiency in developing clear, compelling presentations (PowerPoint or equivalent).
- Exposure to live transactions (M&A, financings, or capital raises) is an asset.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and professionally.
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and adaptable to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Role may require travel up to 10-15% of the time.

The typical hiring range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000. General Fusion considers many factors when determining total compensation, including job-specific or highly specialized knowledge, skills and experience, proficiency, job location and internal equity.
