Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

White Lake Limited Partnership (WLLP) is a wholly owned business of the Netmizaaggamig Nishnaabeg dedicated to generating sustainable economic opportunities, employment and revenue for our community through strategic partnerships, sound business practices, and respect for our community’s values and land. WLLP is governed by the board of directors of its general partner, White Lake Resources Corp; the board consists of members of the Netmizaaggamig Nishnaabeg with varied expertise and backgrounds.

WLLP is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our organization into the next phase of development and growth.

The CEO is the senior executive responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational management for WLLP. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will work collaboratively with the senior management team to drive operational excellence, strengthen partnerships and support WLLP’s economic vision.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader with extensive experience in a senior management role, ideally within an Indigenous enterprise, who brings a balance of business insight, cultural awareness and strategic foresight. They will inspire a high-performing team to be efficient, innovative, and accountable, and will guide WLLP in achieving both its long‑term business and community goals.

Objectives of this role

- Work effectively and collaboratively with the Board of Directors to set and drive organizational vision, operations strategy, and staffing plans.

- Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, through effective goal setting, performance management, and annual operations and financial planning.

- Oversee company operations and employee productivity, fostering a highly inclusive culture that supports team success and organizational performance.

- Ensure effective recruitment, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention of staff.

- Ensure compliance with national, provincial and local business regulations, and taking corrective action when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze internal operations and identify areas for improvement and process enhancement.

- Implement business strategies and plans that align with the short- and long‑term objectives established by the Board of Directors.

- Provide senior level oversight to operations, human resources, and finance, offering leadership to the senior management team.

- Lead and manage business development and growth planning, ensuring capital investment and resource allocation to meet corporate goals.

- Manage capital investments and expenditures to achieve growth and profitability targets.

- Monitor performance using tracking tools and metrics; provide regular forecasts and reports to the Board.

- Build and maintain trusting relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders.

Required skills and qualifications

- Post secondary education in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, or related field.

- Minimum of five years of senior management experience preferably in economic development, business operations or corporate leadership.

- Demonstrated success in strategic planning, financial management, and business development.

- Demonstrated leadership, integrity, and sound decision‑making skills.

- Strong understanding of business planning, corporate governance and regulatory requirements.

- Proven ability to analyze data, assess performance metrics and implement corrective strategies.

- Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate challenges and identify opportunities.

- Ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with the board of directors.

- Experience working with Indigenous organizations or communities.

- Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues.
