About Us
Vic West Pet Hospital is a privately owned and operated veterinary hospital close to downtown, Victoria, BC. It has been voted #1 in Victoria for the past 4 years. Our privately owned hospital is looking full-time Associate Veterinarians (full-time or part-time) to join the team. We are searching for a candidate motivated to practice gold-standard medicine with a group of coworkers that make every day better.
Qualification
DVM/NAVLE/VMD degree from an accredited university OR Foreign graduate with a valid veterinary licence in Canada.
A valid veterinarian license allowing practice in Canada
Eligibily to work in Canada
Duties
Examine pets and diagnose their health problems
Prescribe medications and administer treatments
Vaccinate pets against diseases
Provide preventive care, such as dental cleanings and parasite control
Educate pet owners on proper animal care and nutrition
Conduct laboratory tests to diagnose illnesses or diseases
Collaborate with other veterinary professionals on complex cases
Skills Required
Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and diseases
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate effectively with pet owners and veterinary staff
Compassion and empathy for animals and their owners
Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
