Manager External Reporting

We are looking for an experienced Manager of External Reporting to lead and oversee complex financial processes in a dynamic environment. This role requires a proactive approach to implementing accounting standards, optimizing processes, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports. Based in Ottawa, Ontario, this position is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills and extensive financial expertise.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the planning, execution, and review of intricate financial transactions and accounting matters.
• Drive the adoption and implementation of new accounting standards with a forward-thinking approach.
• Identify and resolve accounting challenges while introducing process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate with external auditors to coordinate audits across multiple entities.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with business units and peers within the organization.
• Provide leadership to streamline reporting processes through system automation and process refinements.
• Guide and mentor the team to produce high-quality financial statements, reports, and analyses within tight deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external deadlines by prioritizing tasks effectively and demonstrating strong organizational skills.
