Aggregate Plant Supervisor - East Region (2)

Location: Belleville, ON, CA, K8N 5B3

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

Leading a team of Site Supervisors and/or Hourly employees, directs production operations for specific CBM Aggregate plants to ensure efficient use of resources, in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

1. Comply with Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Environment, and Ministry of Natural Resources legislation and regulations. Implement training, administration, and compliance with applicable Health & Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.

2. Develop and supervise plans for efficient use of raw materials, machines, and employees. Develop work processes and utilize SAP systems to ensure plants meet or exceed company goals, objectives, and financial performance targets. Review production costs, product quality, and modify production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operations of specific plants. Supervise production and storage of aggregate products in accordance with policies and procedures established by the Regional Manager.

3. Review mining sequences, assist in developing mine planning, recommend budget requests and capital requirements to management, complete capital expenditure approval requests, and monitor large projects through completion. Approve expenditures within defined parameters.

4. Source and secure quotes for maintenance materials for the processing plants and mobile equipment.

5. Troubleshoot plant processes to identify changes and improvements. Analyze statistical operational data (e.g., Hobolink, KPIs, equipment manufacturer reports) and develop and execute appropriate actions.

6. Manage raw feed to identify and direct changes and improvements in plant processes.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

- At least 3 years supervisory and/or managerial experience.

- Mechanical aptitude including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electricity, with knowledge of aggregate composition. Ability to interpret and apply technical documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

- Strong applied mathematical skills for calculating proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Excellent reasoning ability to solve practical problems with numerous variables and limited standardization.

- Knowledge of aggregate processing practices, equipment, and specifications for the construction industry (general construction, road building, concrete, and hot mix asphalt technology).

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Proficiency in MS Office and SAP.

- Valid Ontario G driver's license, as daily travel to sites is required.
