Senior Software Developer Full Stack

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Developer for a hybrid role based in downtown Toronto (3 days onsite, 2 days remote). This position plays a key role in designing, developing, and implementing scalable applications and automation workflows across cloud and on-prem environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in full stack development, cloud-native architecture, process automation, and integration with modern API ecosystems.

The role requires hands-on development using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and front-end technologies like React or Angular, combined with experience in Azure or AWS platforms. Additionally, familiarity with low-code platforms such as Microsoft Power Automate and Logic Apps is a strong asset.

Responsibilities
- Develop scalable microservices and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and containerized platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Design and build front-end components using React or Angular, along with HTML, CSS, JSON, and XML.

- Configure cloud-native services on Azure or AWS for secure and efficient application deployment.

- Create and manage workflows using Power Automate, Logic Apps, and RPA tools to streamline automation.

- Integrate backend systems (SQL Server, NoSQL, external APIs) for end-to-end solution delivery.

- Develop dashboards using Power BI and automate reporting and monitoring.

- Conduct performance, integration, and unit testing using tools like Postman, JMeter, and SoapUI.

- Document solution designs, technical configurations, and handover guides for knowledge transfer.

- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across development, architecture, QA, and operations.

Qualifications
Full Stack & Cloud Development (70%)
- 10+ years of experience developing secure RESTful and SOAP APIs and microservices with Java/JEE, Spring Framework.

- Experience deploying containerized applications using Docker and orchestrating with Kubernetes (AKS or similar).

- Proficient in front-end development using React or Angular, JSON, HTML/CSS/XML/XPath.

- Knowledge of OAuth2, IAM, authentication/authorization, and web accessibility (WCAG AA level).

- Cloud computing experience in Azure or AWS environments.

Automation, AI & Low-Code Platforms (20%)
- Experience with Power Automate, Logic Apps, and RPA workflows.

- Familiarity with AI/ML platforms such as Azure Document Intelligence, Cognitive Search, OpenAI, etc.

- Experience integrating automation solutions with external systems and data pipelines.

Testing, Reporting & Documentation (10%)
- Experience writing and executing test cases using Postman, JMeter, SoapUI.

- Skilled in creating Power BI dashboards and reports.

- Ability to develop clear technical documentation, including Solution Design Documents (SDD).
