Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled310J Trailer Mechanicto be an integral member of our Fleet Maintenance team. You will play a key role in keeping our trucks and trailers operating safely and efficiently. This role requires strong technical ability, effective communication with drivers, and a commitment to high-quality repairs and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair issues based on driver and owner/operator reports
- Perform preventative maintenance, including brake systems, steering/suspension, electrical diagnostics, and more
- Conduct initial inspections using test drives and diagnostic instruments
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed efficiently and cost-effectively
- Maintain accurate repair documentation and work orders
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to ensure fleet safety
- Utilize and store shop tools properly, maintaining a clean and safe workspace
- Assist in creating and following preventative maintenance schedules
- Provide respectful and professional communication with drivers and team members

What You Bring

- Valid 310J certification (Required)
- Experience working with transport trucks and trailers (Required)
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a mechanic in the transportation industry
- Valid G driver’s license (A or D license considered an asset)
- Strong mechanical abilities in gas and diesel automotive repairs
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and proficiency with work order software
- Flexible schedule, with availability for different shifts
