Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing daily financial entries, invoices, and payment vouchers.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain accurate records of receipts, expenses, and financial transactions.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for internal review.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams for billing and payment follow-ups.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial data is up to date.
- Support senior accountants in audits, budgeting, and tax-related documentation.
- Organize and maintain accounts-related files, documents, and digital records.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in accounting or finance (Toronto experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and basic financial reporting.
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software (QuickBooks, Tally, or similar).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work with accuracy and meet deadlines.
