Job Description

To perform maintenance functions at manufacturing facilities located in Barrhead; coordinate, assist, and perform equipment maintenance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Work with leadership and production associates and supervisors to improve efficiencies.
- Perform regular checks on production equipment.
- Lubricate and check all motors daily or as required.
- Ensure boiler is maintained appropriately.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Preventive Maintenance Program.
- Install, repair, and program machines and equipment.
- Maintain critical inventory levels of parts and equipment needed for production.
- Keep the maintenance shop and work areas clean and organized according to GMP/ISO standards.
- Collaborate with managers to determine and address maintenance needs.
- Assist in diagnosing problems; coordinate with outside representatives as needed.
- Support production and product handling when necessary.
- Participate in facility remodeling projects as a resource.
- Contribute to achieving departmental goals through self and team involvement.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Journeyman Millwright or 3rd-year apprentice, preferably with 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, including knowledge of PLCs.
- Skilled in electrical, electronic testing, mechanical repairs, operating procedures, plumbing, use of power and hand tools, HVAC, and safe execution of tasks.
- Additional qualifications: stainless steel welding, boiler operations certification preferred, knowledge of OSHA regulations, and PLC skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

- Manufacturing environment with exposure to powder mineral products, chemicals, restricted movement, dirt, hazardous materials, and heavy lifting.
