Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support our dentists in providing high-quality patient care by assisting during procedures, preparing treatment rooms, and ensuring a comfortable experience for patients. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Summary of Responsibilities

- Assist dentists during dental procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, and ensuring patient comfort.

- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary materials.

- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.

- Take and develop dental X-rays as needed.

- Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic health records (EHR).

- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and OSHA standards.

- Manage dental supply inventory and restock as needed.

- Schedule patient appointments and assist with front desk duties as necessary.

Education & Certification

- High School Diploma or equivalent required.

- Completion of a Dental Assisting program required.

- Current Radiology Certification (X-ray license) in California required.

- CPR/BLS certification preferred.

Prior Experience

- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Dental Assistant.

- Familiarity with dental software and electronic health records (EHR).

- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures.

Skills

- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
