Vanier is appointed by the Ontario Government as the “Lead Agency for Child/Youth Mental Health (CYMH) System Management” in London-Middlesex (2014) and is responsible for community-wide Child/Youth Mental Health System Planning.

Position Summary:

This role involves providing a full range of diagnostic, assessment, consultation, therapeutic counseling, and treatment services for children and their families. It includes performing licensed acts as permitted by the College of Psychologists of Ontario under the Regulated Health Professionals Act and Psychology Act. The primary focus is to conduct psychological assessments and offer consultation to teams regarding clients and programs, as directed by the Manager.

Education/Training/Experience:

- Doctoral degree in Psychology, including at least one year of pre-doctoral residency training.
- Registration as a Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
- Ongoing professional development as per college standards.
- Current knowledge of assessment and treatment issues, maintained through recent scientific literature.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for counseling, consultation, formal reporting, and expert testimony.
- Proficiency in administering and interpreting standardized tests; ability to synthesize complex information and conduct research.
- Knowledge of therapeutic modalities with children; ability to provide treatment in at least one modality.
- Professional conduct aligned with ethical guidelines; experience in training and consulting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and data entry skills.
- Ability to relate professionally with children, families, and other professionals, demonstrating tact, patience, and diplomacy.
- Adherence to ethical standards set by the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
- Accurate administration and interpretation of psychological tests; clear communication of findings.
- Ability to work independently under supervision.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Fluency in French is an asset.

Job Details:

- Type: Full-time
- Salary: $74,541.00-$101,653.00 per year
- Benefits include dental care, disability insurance, employee assistance, extended health, life insurance, on-site parking, RRSP match, and vision care.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 35 hours/week.
- Work Location: In person.
