As a Clinic Nurse Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the well-being of the client’s community members. You will work closely with their healthcare team to provide a wide range of medical services, including assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and health education.
What you will be doing:
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments of patients presenting at the clinic.
- Diagnose and treat a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies.
- Administer vaccinations and provide preventive healthcare services.
- Offer health promotion and disease prevention guidance to patients.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in our electronic medical records (EMR) system.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Stay current with medical advancements and best practices through ongoing professional development.
What you must have:
- Master’s degree in Nursing with Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification.
- Current registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Successful completion of the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE).
- Active, unrestricted provincial license(s) with prescribing privileges.
- CPR certification.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMRs).
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based healthcare environment.
