We are hiring a Media Assets & Marketing Specialist. This role is a dynamic, hands-on content creator responsible for capturing, editing, and managing high-impact visual assets that showcase the lifestyle, events, and brand essence of Sun Peaks Resort (SPR) and the Sun Peaks Grand (SPG). The role collaborates across the Marketing and Communications, and Events departments, visually bringing to life the experiences, energy, and community of Sun Peaks through photography and videography. Compensation Information: $60,000 to $65,000 per annum

Physical Requirement: Medium; work activities involve handling loads up to 20kg; both in an indoor and outdoor setting.

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

Responsibilities

- Content Capture & Production

- Capture high-quality photography and videography across resort and hotel properties, including events, lifestyle, activities, and campaigns.

- Edit raw footage into polished, brand-aligned content for social media, websites, paid campaigns, and promotional use.

- Deliver timely visual content to support seasonal campaigns, media opportunities, and partner requests.

- Apply advanced video editing skills to produce reels, highlight videos, promotional ads, and storytelling assets.

- Typical deliverables include: Social media reels and short-form video, Seasonal campaign highlight reels, Event recap videos and partner fulfillment clips, Promotional trailers and ads for resort and hotel products, and Corporate/brand storytelling pieces.

- Digital Asset Management (DAM)

- Manage the Cloudinary DAM system, ensuring media assets are uploaded, tagged, organized, and archived.

Qualifications

- 3–5 years of experience in photography, videography, and video editing (tourism, resort, or hospitality experience an asset).

- Advanced proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar).

- Advanced proficiency in photo editing and design software (Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign, XD).

- Strong technical knowledge of camera equipment, lighting, audio, and editing workflows.

- Experience managing a Digital Asset Management (DAM) system (Cloudinary or similar).

- Creative eye with ability to translate brand strategy into compelling visual content.

- Collaborative mindset, with experience supporting social media and communications teams.

- Ability to work outdoors in variable conditions while capturing content.

- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and time management.

- A passion for outdoor recreation (skiing, snowboarding, biking, golfing).

- Valid driver’s license.
